The Arcadia Bird Lamp is specifically designed to provide an artificial source of vital UV rays for captive birds that do not receive direct sunlight.
Using a light source that replicates the natural UV component of sunlight has proven health benefits for birds, allows them a more natural visual perception of their surroundings, normalizes behavior and often results in more successful breeding.
Unlike normal fluorescent tubes, the Arcadia bird lamp contains a special phosphor that emits UV light. This allows it to replicate the light spectrum of the sun, including 12% UV-A and 2.4% UV-B.
